Who writes the reviews
Every review and blog post is written by one of us, casual players and not professional critics. Our name is at the top and at the bottom of each article, and each of us has a profile on the Writers page.
What this site is for
To help people who play after work decide whether a Nintendo Switch 2 game fits their evening, with honest opinions and no hype.
Independence and payment
- Nobody pays for a review, and no publisher or developer sees a review before it goes live.
- Scores and opinions are our own. If we didn't like something, we say so.
- We don't accept requests to review a specific game for money.
- If a game ever reaches us for free, or a review ever involves money, a link or a relationship with the publisher, the review will say so clearly.
- Money can never change a score or what a review says.

Nintendo and game names are trademarks of their owners. This site is independent and is not affiliated with them.
How games are played and scored
Games are played on our own Switch 2, on the TV and in handheld, for a little while after work and on weekends. No guides, no 100% runs. The review shows roughly how many hours we played. The scales are explained in How I score. We avoid spoilers beyond the first hours of a game.
Accuracy and corrections
- Every review shows when it was published and when it was last updated, because patches and upgrades change games.
- When we change something that matters, such as a score or a verdict, the review says what changed.
- Prices change and vary by country, so check your own eShop before buying.
- If you spot a mistake, tell me which game and which line, through the contact page or at overtimegamer@protonmail.com. We will check it and fix it.
