What is ours
The reviews, blog posts, scores and ratings, the Effort and Challenge scales, the vibe check, the effort map and the collections, the way this site is designed and organised, our name and logo, the writer bios and photos, and the photos and screenshots we captured ourselves. They are protected by copyright and, where it applies, by other rights.
What is not ours
Game names, characters, artwork, music and logos belong to the companies that make and publish them. Screenshots appear here only to show the game we are reviewing. OverTime Gamer is not affiliated with Nintendo or with any game publisher.
What you can do
- Link to any page. We like that.
- Quote a short passage, a few sentences at most, as long as you name OverTime Gamer and the writer and link to the page you took it from.
- Share a link on social media. The preview image and text are fine to display with it.
What needs our written permission
- Copying, republishing, translating or rewriting a review, post or list, in whole or in large part.
- Reusing our photos and screenshots on another site, in a video, in print or in a product.
- Copying our scoring system, rating names or lists and presenting them as your own.
- Using our name, logo or writers' names in a way that suggests we work with you or endorse you.
- Collecting the site's content in bulk, with scripts or other automatic tools, to republish it.
Found a copy, or want to ask?
If you see our work somewhere without credit or permission, send the link to overtimegamer@protonmail.com and we will deal with it. If you want to use something and are not sure it is allowed, ask us first, we usually say yes to fair requests.
If you own something shown here
If you are a game maker or rights holder and you want an image or text changed or taken down, write to overtimegamer@protonmail.com with the page link and what you would like changed. We read every message and act quickly.
This page explains our rules in plain words. It is not legal advice, and it does not take away any rights the law already gives you, such as quoting for criticism or review.
